Die Großmutter Mondpfeife wird auch teilnehmen, besonders für alle Frauen auf der Mondzeit, aber natürlich offen für alle.

Bitte bringe etwas essen/trinken für das kleine gemeinsame Essen nach der Zeremonie.
Wir bitten auch immer um eine kleine Spende um die Raummiete zu finanzieren.

Und noch in der Kürze: wenn man die Pfeife um etwas bittet, sollte man auch immer bereit sein, ihr noch vorher etwas dafür zu geben. So wie man an eine Großmutter/Großvater zum Beispiel respektvoll herantritt, so sollte man auch an die Pfeife herantreten.

The moon pipe will be attending again, especially for all women on their moontime, but of course also for everyone.

Please bring some food/drinks to share for the feast afterwards.
We also ask for a small donation to help us finance the costs of the room rent and such.

In short - don´t forget that if you ask something of the pipe also to be ready to give something beforehand ! Just like you would approach your grandmother and grandfather - respectful - that way should you also approach the pipe.

So, better late than never- we’re gearing up for the next Open Pipe ceremony here in Vienna, Austria this upcoming Saturday. This time we have the honor and privelege to be joining together in a circle led by the Grandmother Moon Pipe, and we’ll be particularly focusing on honoring Women, Woman’s Medicine, and the Divine Feminine. For those keeping other Pipes, you can of course bring them, but it would be advised not to take them out of their bundles during the ceremony, due to the unique nature of the Moon Pipe’s Medicine! For any questions, don’t hesitate to ask!

(Deutsche kurzfassung): Am Samstag findet unsere nächste Offene Pfeifenzeremonie statt, diesesmal von die Großmutter Mondpfeife geführt. Als thema geht es um ehren die Frauen, Frauen Medicine, und die Divine Feminine. Für alle die, die Pfeifen haben, du kannst die sicher mitnehmen, aber aufgrund der besonders einzigartige Medicine der Mondpfeife, bitte sei bereit die im Bundle zu lassen während die Zeremonie. Although the inter-discipline of ethnohistory emerged in the1950’s to inject a Native American point of view into the work of the U.S. Indian Claims Commission, it has evolved into expanding the historian’s concept of history to incorporate Indigenous Knowledge as transmitted by oral tradition. The work of anthropologists with contemporary keepers of such knowledge traditions adds a dimension of interpretation to archival histories that invites a long overdue reassessment of how we can understand the past from multiple standpoints and deploy it as a guide to coexistence in multicultural and transnatitonal contexts.

Gemeinsam mit dem Institut für Sozialanthropologie der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften lädt das Museum für Völkerkunde Wien zu einem Vortrag in englischer Sprache von Frau Professor Regna Darnell von der University of Western Ontario ein. Professor Darnell, die sich im Rahmen des Canadian Leadership Program auf einer Vortragsreise durch Europa befindet, ist eine der einflussreichsten Historikerinnen der amerikanischen Ethnologie und hat überdies wichtige Feldforschungen bei den Plains Cree und Ojibwa in Ontario durchgeführt. Sie ist Trägerin zahlreicher Auszeichnungen, darunter von der American Philosophical Society und der American Anthropological Association.

So, we finally made it to the Sitting Bull Exhibition here in Vienna at the Museum
of Ethnology. It will run until the 15th of March2010 - so if you still have some
time at your hands - go and check it out. It is worth seeing, and if you spend time
with the things shown and have some good guidance at hand ( ) the better.

We were weary about seeing Pipes exhibited there, but I don´t know the
exact background to each one of them, so I won´t judge anything here.
My little girl loved the shown girl´s dresses, the quilts and moccasins - so
I handed her the camera and she became my official photographer
for this occassion. (You are allowed to take pictures without flash.)

Thanks to a friend of ours - she tried hard to find a date suitable for
almost everyone and then getting us all together -  we had a nice
afternoon, although we were a bit rushed at the end, as we still had
some errands to run before all the shops close on saturdays.
We might be back though !

12. Dezember + 13. Dezember: ab 14h Buchvorstellung und Hörbücher, Prophezeihungen der indianischen Ureinwohner Nordamerikas, Power of the Pipe,……

Es wird immer darauf ankommen, was jene Menschen, die zu seinen Vorträgen kommen, brauchen bzw was Spirit wichtig empfindet - dh darauf wird dann ad-hoc Rücksicht genommen und daher können die genauen Themen auch etwas abweichen. Wir gehen mit dem Fluss !
Vielleicht wird sich auch der eine oder andere Talk evt zB vom Freitag, dann am Sonntag wiederholen oder so.

Um Jim´s Reise geldmässig zu unterstützen, werden wir einen Beitrag für die Vorträge einheben. (In Kürze dazu mehr…keine Angst es ist leistbar und keine Unsumme, denn Geld zu machen ist nicht unser Ziel. Wir wollen auch niemanden ausschliessen bzw sich dadurch ausgeschlossen fühlt).

*Gerade jetzt im Moment wissen wir noch nicht welches Thema als erstes am 11. Dezember abends angesprochen werden wird, da erst am 14. November eine wichtige Zeremonie stattgefunden hat, an welcher wir auch teilgenommen haben.

We are very happy to let you all know that Jim Tree is coming to visit us in Austria! As you might know, he is the author of  the book “The Way of the Pipe” and several audiobooks aswell (which I think he will be presenting us amongst other things).

We are currently planning to have his presentation, talks, discussions and also a ceremony in Vienna at sometime during the weekend Friday 11th (evening) until Sunday 13th. So if you are interested and would like to come - keep those dates free!!! (or at least the 12th and the 13th )

Even cooler would be if you want to let us know already that you would like to attend - so if you are interested, please send an email to pipe@goodmedicine.at . So we get idea also, how many would like to come. Thank you!

Wir sind überglücklich euch alle wissen zu lassen, dass Jim Tree uns in Österreich besuchen wird. Wie ihr vielleicht wisst, ist er Autor des Buches “The Way of the Pipe” und weiteren Hörbüchern ist (und soweit ich weiss wird er uns all diese, unter anderem, vorstellen).

Im Moment planen wir Präsentationen, Gespräche, Diskussionen und auch eine Zeremonie in Wien irgendwann in dem Wochenende 11ter Dezember (Freitag abends) bis 13ter Dezember (Sonntag). Also wenn ihr interessiert seid, dann haltet euch bitte dieses Wochenende frei (oder zumindest den 12ten und 13ten ).

Falls ihr schon wisst, dass ihr dabei sein möchtet, bitte schickt doch ein Email an pipe@goodmedicine.at . Dann können wir auch besser abschätzen, wieviele kommen möchten und können. Danke !
